Asin Tibuok, affectionately known as SexySalt, is regarded as one of the most exclusive salts on earth. Hand-made on the island of Alburquerque in Bohol, Philippines, by a dwindling handful of families still practicing a centuries-old tradition, each "dinosaur egg" is the result of weeks of labour: seawater filtered through smouldering coconut husks, slowly reduced, then fired inside an unglazed clay pot until the salt itself becomes the vessel.The result is a smoky, mineral, faintly sweet salt with a soft crumble — extraordinary over raw seafood, aged cheeses, dark chocolate, or simply cracked open at the table as ceremony.Each pot weighs approximately 900g–1.2kg.
